Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I forgot my password. Can I recover my data?

Unfortunately, no. SOAR uses true end-to-end encryption. Your encryption key is derived from your password on your device. Neither the operator nor any third party has a way to decrypt your data.

A password reset returns your account to a blank state (encrypted business data is technically unrecoverable). Please store your password safely using a password manager (e.g. Apple Keychain).

Q. How do I delete my account?

In the iOS app, go to Settings → Delete Account. Your account information and encrypted data will be completely removed from our servers.

Q. Where is my data stored?

On the Free plan, all business data stays in a local database on your device. On the Premium plan or Web version, data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM on-device before being sent to our server (Supabase). The encryption key is never sent to the server.

Q. How do I cancel my Premium subscription?

On iOS, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions to cancel at any time. Premium features remain available until the end of the current billing period.

Q. Can I use the same data on Web and iOS?

Yes, on the Premium plan. Web version (soar.o3shy.com) and the iOS app share the same account and the same data. Because both use the same password-derived key, edits sync automatically between platforms.

Q. Can I use SOAR for tax filing?

SOAR helps you visualize and manage income and expenses. It is not a substitute for tax filing tools or professional tax services. For important tax decisions, please consult a qualified professional.
